Title: ARTS DEPARTMENT CHAIR / SUBJECT AREA SPECIALIST

Teaching Responsibility: .6-1.0 (4-5 classes)

Evaluation: Limited complimentary

Certification Requirement: 092, 049 or 042

Compensation: District stipend (6,000-12,000 annual avg.)

 

This is normally a building-based arts leader that coordinates art and or music. In most cases, this position reports to an Arts Coordinator or Arts Supervisor working at the district K-12 level. These positions are usually at the secondary level.
