K-12 Arts Coordinator

Title: K-12 ARTS COORDINATOR 

Union Affiliation: Teachers

Teaching Responsibility: .2-.6 (1-4 classes)

Evaluation: Complimentary, some primary (new staff, admin request, etc)

Certification Requirement: 092, 049 or 042

Compensation: District stipend (15,000-30,000 annual avg.)

 

This is a hybrid position utilizing a full-time art or music teacher in a partial teaching, partial coordinator/supervisor role. This allows for a more affordable position held by an arts specialist than can still provide the expertise and support needed. The critical difference between this role and the Supervisor is the role this person plays in evaluation. In most Connecticut positions, this person is a complimentary evaluator only.
